Salt serves a dual purpose in our treats:

1. It acts as a natural preservative by drawing moisture out of the treat, making it less likely for mold or bacteria to grow.

2. It helps replenish essential electrolytes like sodium and potassium that horses lose during exercise or hot weather.

We use a safe balance of pink Himalayan salt and Lite Salt to ensure your horse benefits without risk.

We recommend feeding 1–2 treats per day, especially after a workout or if it’s just plain hot outside. Please consult your veterinarian before feeding if your horse has health conditions such as insulin resistance, Cushing's, or laminitis.

Store in an airtight container in a cool, dry place. For extended freshness, refrigeration is recommended.

When stored properly, our treats typically last 2–3 weeks at room temperature and up to 6 weeks when refrigerated. But in all honesty… who’s ever had horse treats last more than a week with a pony in the barn? 😉
